Salvation

What Salvation Is

From the day your life began here on earth, God has been searching for you.  From the foundation of His creation, He has desired for you to be a part of His family.  He made clear in his Word that everyone has sinned and is, therefore, separated from Him.  He is not willing for any to perish—to be eternally separated from Himself—but that all should come to repentance.  He told us that He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for our sins that if we would simply trust in Him and in what He did for us on the cross, He would forgive our sins and give us eternal life.  We would then become His son or daughter and spend eternity with Him (John 3:16).

He said that all you have to do is believe that His love for you is true—it is more real than what you can see or feel—and that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins on the cross, that He was buried, and that He rose again from the dead the third day.  Today is your day; it is the day of your salvation.  You have come to the foot of the cross.  He is looking on you this day.  He stands at the door of your heart and knocks.  Please ask him to come in.

Salvation Prayer

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus.  I acknowledge to you that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived.  I need your forgiveness.  Your word says that if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive my sins (I John 1:9).

I believe that Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, shed his precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died to take away my sins.  I believe that he was then buried and on the third day arose from the dead, victorious over sin, Satan and death.  Because of this, I truly desire to turn away from sin and give my life to Christ as my Savior and Lord.  I ask for your forgiveness.

God, You said in your Holy Word that if we confess Jesus as Lord of our life and believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved (Romans 10:9-10).

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life—of my very being—and with my heart I believe that You raised Jesus from the dead.  This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and Lord, and I receive Your Holy Spirit.

Because I have come to you, Lord Jesus, and because I have asked according to Your will, dear God, You said that you have saved me and given me eternal life.  Your Word says that, “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Thank you Jesus, for saving me.  In your precious and holy name I pray.  Amen.
